Heart of Yoga
The purpose of yoga is to unify the body, breath and mind. This class will meet each person’s concerns and interests using asanas (poses and counter-poses) linked to the rhythm of the breath (pranayama). The goal for this class is to deepen our self awareness and to bring harmony and order in our bodies and minds. If anyone can breathe they can practice yoga. Be inspired to work toward your personal practice; a practice that will help give you inner awareness and clarity to their life.

I graduated from both 200- & 500-hour training programs at Shanti Yoga School and am registered with Yoga Alliance. My training is grounded in Vinyasa Karma and the study of foundational yoga scriptures. My personal practice and self-study education included The Heart of Yoga, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and Tantric Philosophy, as well as other Yoga philosophical texts. For 12 years I have been teaching at studios in Boise and a teacher within the Shanti Yoga School. I implement modifications & adaptations for more availability to a wider spectrum of people. While linking body & breath movement, I leading student through a series of postures to strengthen & build flexibility (promoting stamina & inner calmness). If you enjoy a slower pace, without force or strain, my classes are for you. When I am not on my mat, I am practicing Landscape Architect and enjoy time with my wife, children, and grandchildren.
