Melissa Klassen

I am a certified yoga instructor through FiTour and have been teaching yoga for over 13 years. I’m also a certified as personal trainer, TRX, have taught step aerobics and I am certified in Corrective Exercise. I have a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication and a minor in Dance.

I am full-time lecturer at Boise State University and an assistant coach to the Capital High cross country team. I am dedicated to continuing her education in various aspects of health and fitness and also enjoy many outdoor activities such as: trail running, Nordic skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking. At age 46, I learned to downhill ski and is now addicted!

My yoga journey began in my 30’s when I felt I was losing flexibility from repetitive running. But, my commitment grew as I encountered a great personal hardship and fully experienced the mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga and meditation.

I believes in the holistic benefits of yoga for all gender, ages, shapes, and sizes. I  focus my yoga practice primarily around a Power Vinyasa flow designed to build core strength, stability and balance. However, I am praised for my ability to adapt to all levels of participants.
